Symptoms
- Plants become unhealthy stunted & yellow
- Leaves wither from top downwards.
- Panicle formation is inhibited & the plants die if attack is severe
- Honeydew secreted by bug causes growth of scooty mould on leaves
- Adults yellowish brown to dark brown with translucent wings
Management
- Conserve egg parasitoids and predators - Coccinella septumpunctatum, Menochilus sexmaculatus, Geocoris tricolor.
