Leaf Eating Caterpillars (Spodoptera litura)

Symptoms

  • Seen in masses on the leaves scraping the green matter results in scarring on the leaves.
  • Occurrence of bore holes in a pattern as the leaf unfurls.

Management

  • Collect the young larvae and destroy.
  • By the preparation of food attractant by making small balls using 100g rice bran, 10g jaggery and a little granular insecticide for attract and kill the hiding larvae of Spodoptera.
