Symptoms

  • Raised reddish brown pustules on the leaf and stem surface.
  • Spore masses become brown to black when plant matures
  • Symptoms are seen mostly on the underside of the leaves.
  • Stunted, chlorotic, or otherwise discoloration appear on severe rust infection.
  • Cool temperature and high relative humidity favors disease development.

Management

  • Remove and destroy the affected leaves and twigs.
