Collar or Foot Rot(Phytophtora sp., Rhizoctonia solani, Pythium sp)
Symptoms
- Seen in nursery or in grown-up plants.
- Rotting near the base of the stem.
- Yellowing of the leaves and girdling of collar region.
Management
- Soil sterilization or by using healthy seedlings.
- Soil application of Pseudomonas fluorescens (20 g/litre of water) or Trichoderma viride 2.5 kg / ha with 225 kg dried FYM+25 kg neem cake.
