Symptoms
- Rotting of the plants.
- Leaves and pseudobulbs / stem become yellow, shriveled, thin and twisted.
- New seedlings become progressively smaller.
- Brown rot with white or brown fungal growth occurs in roots.
- Infection invades the lower leaves and rhizomes.
Management
- Remove infected part of roots and leaves using a sterile cutting tool.
- Disinfect growing area with bleaching powder (1 gram/liter of water).
