Anthracnose (Calospora vanillae,collectotrichum vanillae and C.gloeosporioides.)
Symptoms
- Infects all aerial parts(young shoot tips,leaves,roots,beans)
- Initial symptoms appear on tender parts.
- Dull red /amber coloured sunken patches on leaves,stem,beans are seen.
- Infection on inflorescence results in rotting,drying and shedding of flower buds & beans.
Management
- Remove and destroy all fallen beans and severely infected stem and leaves.
