Anthracnose (Calospora vanillae,collectotrichum vanillae and C.gloeosporioides.)

Symptoms

  • Infects all aerial parts(young shoot tips,leaves,roots,beans)
  • Initial symptoms appear on tender parts.
  • Dull red /amber coloured sunken patches on leaves,stem,beans are seen.
  • Infection on inflorescence results in rotting,drying and shedding of flower buds & beans.

Management

  • Remove and destroy all fallen beans and severely infected stem and leaves.
