Symptoms
- Young larva scrapes the chlorophyll content, as a result leaves dry up.
- Later on it folds and webs the leaves and feeds within
- It also feed on the flowers and the developing fruits.
Management
- Collect and destroy early stage caterpillars
- Spray 20 gram bird pepper (kandari) extract in 1 litre cow's urine and 10 litre of water.
- Spray tobacco decoction
- Encourage activity of parasitoid: Apanteles spp.
