Rust (Puccinia sorghi)

Symptoms

  • As the plant matures, the spore masses become brown to black.
  • The symptoms are seen mostly on the underside of the leaves.
  • Plants with severe rust infection appear stunted, chlorotic, or otherwise discolored.
  • Cool temperature and high relative humidity favors the disease development.
