Bacterial canker (Xanthomonas campestris pv. mangiferae-indica)
Symptoms
- Dark and angular spots with yellow halo which are restricted to leaf veins.
- As the disease advances these spots, coalesce to form large patches and show necrosis.
- Leads to formation of cracks and gummosis on affected stem
Management
- Use disease free seeds.
- Field sanitation.
- Spray Psuedomonas 20g/L
- Spray Bordeaux mixture 1% at 2 weeks interval.
