Bacterial canker (Xanthomonas campestris pv. mangiferae-indica)

Symptoms

  • Dark and angular spots with yellow halo which are restricted to leaf veins.
  • As the disease advances these spots, coalesce to form large patches and show necrosis.
  • Leads to formation of cracks and gummosis on affected stem

Management

  • Use disease free seeds.
  • Field sanitation.
  • Spray Psuedomonas 20g/L
  • Spray Bordeaux mixture 1% at 2 weeks interval.
