Symptoms
- Appear as tiny, moving dots to the naked eye.
- Damage appears as a light stippling on leaves, followed by leaf yellowing or bronzing
- Dropping.
- Characteristic silken webbing can be seen.
- Prefer to feed on drought-stressed plants.
Management
- Spray the crop with water using a sprayer.
- Spray rice gruel water on under surface of leaves (1 cup rice gruel+1 cup water).
- Spray castor oil-soap emulsion or neem oil- garlic emulsion (20 ml neem/caster oil +20 gram garlic paste + 5 gram soap / litre of water).
