Whitefly (Bemisia tabaci, Aleurotulus anthuricola)

Symptoms

• Nymphs and adults suck the sap from leaves.

Management

• Place yellow sticky (castor oil coated) traps @ 20 no/ha.
• Spray neem garlic emulsion (20 ml neem oil + 20 gram garlic paste + 5 gram bar soap/litre of water).
• Spray Lecanicillium lecanii (synonym Verticillium lecanii ) - 20 g/litre of water.
• Field release of parasitic wasp - Encarsia formosa can be done (3 insects/ square metre).
