Leaf Webworm (Nausinoe geometralis)

Symptoms

• Leaves in lower bushy and shaded portions are more attacked.
• Leaves webbed in an open and loose manner.
• Silk threads are seen as a cobweb on the surface of the leaves.
• Larvae skeletonize the leaves by eating away the parenchyma.

Management

• Spray neem garlic emulsion (20 ml neem oil + 20 gram garlic paste + 5 gram bar soap/litre of water).
