Collar or Foot Rot(Phytophtora sp., Rhizoctonia solani, Pythium sp)

Symptoms

  • Seen in nursery or in grown-up plants.
  • Rotting near the base of the stem.
  • Yellowing of the leaves and girdling of collar region.

Management

  • Soil sterilization or by using healthy seedlings.
  • Soil application of Pseudomonas fluorescens (20 g/litre of water) or Trichoderma viride 2.5 kg / ha with 225 kg dried FYM+25 kg neem cake.
