Symptoms
- Weakens seeds or seedlings
- More prevalent in wet and cool conditions.
- Attacks the roots and collar region, leads to death.
- Water soaked lesions can be observed at the collar region which turns dark and girdles the stem.
- Root system appears fully or partially decayed, when infected seedlings are pulled.
Management
- Soil application of Pseudomonas fluorescens (20 g/litre of water) or Trichoderma viride 2.5 kg / ha with 225 kg dried FYM+25 kg neem cake.
