Hairy caterpillar (Pericallia ricini)

Symptoms

• Caterpillars make the damage.
• They eat leaves, causing them to fall off (defoliation).
• The larvae eat a lot during the night.
• Host plants: castor, moringa.

Management

• Spray neem garlic emulsion (20 ml neem oil + 20 gram garlic paste + 5 gram bar soap/litre of water).
