Sweet potato Feathery mottle (Sweet Potato Feathery Mottle Virus)
Symptoms
- The leaves of the affected plants show ring spots or chlorotic spots and vein banding which diffuse and spread out to cover the entire lamina.
- Banded regions may have purplish border producing a feathery effect.
- Purplish netting of veins can also be noticed.
Management
- Removal and destruction of infected crop debris.
- Use of tolerant varieties.
- Meristem tip culture can be done to get elite disease free planting material
