Epilachna Beetle (Henosepilachna vigintioctopunctata)

Symptoms

• Both the adults and grubs scrape surface tissues of the leaves
• They eat up regular areas of leaf tissues leaving parallel bands of uneaten tissue in between causing skeletonization of leaves
• The leaves, thus present a lace like appearance. They turn brown and dry up

Management

• Collect and destroy adults and immature stages of the pest.
• Spray Neem Seed Kernel Extract 5%
• Spray neem oil garlic emulsion 2%
• Spray Beauveria bassiana @ 20g/l at weekly intervals
