Root Rot(C.O.: Rhizoctonia solani)

Symptoms

  • Occurs mainly at podding stage.
  • Affected leaves turn yellow in colour and brown irregular lesions appear on leaves.
  • Roots and basal portion of the stem become black in colour
  • Bark peels off easily.
  • Affected plants dry up gradually.

Management

  • Seed treatment with Trichoderma viride or Pseudomonas fluorescens (20 gram / kg of seeds).
  • Soil application Pseudomonas fluorescens or Trichoderma viride – 2.5 kg / ha + 50 kg of well decomposed FYM at 30 days after sowing.
  • Soil application of zinc sulphate (25 kg / ha) and neem cake @ 150 kg / ha
  • Spot drenching of Carbendazim 50 WP (1 gram/litre of water).
