Symptoms
- The characteristic symptoms are serpentine mines on leaves.
- Drying and dropping of leaves occurs in severe cases.
- The damage is severe in dry weather conditions.
Management
- Grow castor, tomato or marigold as a trap crop.
- Use yellow sticky traps or cards (10 no/acre).
- Conserve predators such as lacewings, lady beetles, spiders, fire ants etc.
- Spray Neem Seed Kernal Extract (50 gram/litre of water).
