Varieties
A number of cultivars are available in the country and are known mostly by the name
of locality where they are cultivated. Some of the popular cultivars are Duggirtala,
Tekurpettah, Kodur, Armoor, Sugandham, Amalapuram, Erode local, Alleppey, Moovattupuzha, and Lakadong.
