Aphids (Rhopalosiphum maidis)

Symptoms

• Suck saps from plants
• Yellowing of leaves
• Presence of ants in aphid colonies

Management

• Spray tobacco decoction or neem oil- garlic emulsion (20 ml neem oil + 20 gram garlic paste + 5 gram bar soap dissolved in one litre of water) or neem seed extract (50 gram/litre of water)
• Spray Lecanicillium lecanii (synonym Verticillium lecanii) 20 g/litre of water
• Release green lacewing bugs (50,000 eggs/ha)
