Symptoms
- Chlorosis of leaves starts at base of the leaf and progressing upwards.
- Downy white to grey fungal growth are noticed on undersides of leaves.
- The leaves become brown and necrotic.
- Green leafy proliferation of spikelets giving a brush like appearance.
Management
- Rogue out the infected plants when found in the field.
- Use quality disease free seeds.
