Green Leaf Hopper (Nephotettix cincticeps)

Symptoms

• Pests suck up the plant sap causing withering of the plants.
• Growth get stunted and the plants wither away ultimately in cases of severe attack.
• Green leaf hoppers transmit tungro virus and transitory yellowing virus diseases.
• Symptoms of attack are generally yellowing.
• If you look at the plants, you will see green shoots.

Management

• Apply neem cake @ 12.5 kg/20 cent nursery as basal dose.
