Rice Hispa (Dicladispa armigera)

Symptoms

• The grubs mines into the leaf blade and feed on the green tissue between the veins.
• The adults feed on the green tissues of the leaves and the feeding scars appear as short white lines on the leaf surface.
• White blotches will be seen on the leaves due to the attack.
• Early stages of the crop are more susceptible.
