Fusarium wilt (Fusarium oxysporum)

Symptoms

• Affected leaves become yellow in colour and remains stunted in growth
• Yellowing starts from lower leaves
• Later,the entire plants become collapse
• Infected plants develop shriveled tubers and brown ground tissue.

Management

• Select places with proper drainage for planting
• Select planting materials from pest free sites.
• Drench the beds with chestnut compound or Bordeaux mixture (1 %)
• Inoculation with native Arbuscular mycorrhiza, Trichoderma, Pseudomonas fluorescens (20 g/litre of water) at the time of planting
