Symptoms
- Feed on sap
- Infested rhizomes become shrivelled & desiccated
- Encrustations on rhizomes are observed
Management
- Collect and destroy damaged leaves
- Apply well rotten sheep manure/ poultry manure e @ 10 t/ hectare in two splits
- First- Before planting
- Second – At time of earthing up
- Spray neem garlic emulsion (20 m litre oil+ 20 gram garlic paste +5 gram bar soap /litre of water).
- Spray Lecanicillium lecanii – 20 g/litre of water.
