Land Preparation

• Make pits of 60 cm diameter and 30-45 cm depth
• Mix well rotten FYM and fertilizers with topsoil in the pit

Planting

• Sow seeds @ 4-5 per pit.
• Remove unhealthy plants after two weeks and only 3 plants are retained per pit.
• Soaking seeds in 1:10 solution of 150 ppm Pottasium Nitrate for 3 hrs increases germination and seedling vigour.
