Mosaic (Cabbage mosaic virus)

Symptoms

  • The symptoms first appear as small, circular to irregular, chlorotic lesion in between and adjacent to the veins.
  • Vein clearing or banding symptoms are produced on the leaves ultimately leading to mosaic pattern.
  • Little or no leaf distortion is noticed.
  • Affected plants are stunted or formation of head rarely occurs.

Management

  • Use disease free seed materials from healthy plants.
  • Rogue out the infected plants.
  • Apply neem cake in the planting pits
