Climate and Soil
- Snake gourd is adaptable to a wide range of soil and climatic conditions.
- A minimum temperature of 18°C is required during early growth.
- The optimal temperature range for growth is 24–27°C.
- It tolerates various soil types but prefers well-drained sandy loam rich in organic matter.
- The optimum soil pH is 6.0–6.7, but it can tolerate alkaline soils up to pH 8.0.
