Jack scale (C.O.: Pinnaspis strachani and Protopulvinaria mangiferae)

Symptoms

• Scales suck sap and thus result in yellowing of plants.
• Encrustations of scales can be seen.
• Honey dew secretion on which black sooty mould growth can also be seen.

Management

• Remove affected parts.
• Spray neem garlic emulsion - 20 ml neem oil + 20 gram garlic paste + 5 gram bar soap/litre of water.
