Botryodiplodia Fruit Rot (Botryodiplodia theobromae)

Symptoms

• Disease occur both on green and ripe fruits
• Dark green water soaked spot appears on the fruit
• With the development of the disease, the affected part becomes dark brown, shrivelled and marked into concentric zones with numerous pycnidia
• The spots are surrounded by dark green water soaked area
• When stalk of the fruit is infected the fruits drops

Management

• Hot water treatment 49 degree Celsius for 20 minutes
