Leaf blight (Alternaria arachidis and A. tenuissima)
Symptoms
- Drying of twigs and leaves is the main symptom
- Rapid and complete chlorosis, browning, and then death of plant tissues.
- Lesions develops which are brown in colour and irregular in shape surrounded by yellowish halos.
- At Later stages of infection, blighted leaves curl inward become brittle and results in defoliation.
Management
- Prophylactic spraying of Pseudomonas fluorescens (20 g/litre of water) is also effective in preventing the incidence of the disease.
