- Optimum rainfall: 1000-1500 mm.
- Mostly grown at low elevations areas
- Temperature: 15 to 30ºC
- Tolerant to drought because of the special water storage cells
Soil
- Grown on a wide range of soils
- Does not tolerate waterlogging.
- Pineapple can be successfully grown in sandy loam soil and in loamy soil with plenty of organic matter added.
