Symptoms

• Rats damage tender nuts by forming characteristic holes.
• Shed nuts can be seen at the base of the palm.

Management

• Place wax blocks of 0.005 per cent bromadiolone in coconut crown of the infested palms at 3 to 4 days interval till the bait is no more consumed.
