Green Gram (Vigna radiata)
Anthracnose (C.O.: Colletotrichum lindemuthianum, C. gloeosporioides)
Symptoms
- Attacks all aerial parts of plants.
- Circular, black, sunken spots with dark centre and bright red orange margins on leaves and pods.
- Affected parts wither off.
- Blighted due to infection soon after seed germination.
Management
- For protecting the crop from anthracnose, treat the seeds with carbendazim (0.05 per cent) and spray the crop with Bordeaux mixture 1 per cent or carbendazim 0.05 per cent.
- Remove and destroy plant debris
