Anthracnose (C.O.: Colletotrichum lindemuthianum, C. gloeosporioides)

Symptoms

  • Attacks all aerial parts of plants.
  • Circular, black, sunken spots with dark centre and bright red orange margins on leaves and pods.
  • Affected parts wither off.
  • Blighted due to infection soon after seed germination.

Management

  • For protecting the crop from anthracnose, treat the seeds with carbendazim (0.05 per cent) and spray the crop with Bordeaux mixture 1 per cent or carbendazim 0.05 per cent.
  • Remove and destroy plant debris
