Green Gram (Vigna radiata)
Bacterial leaf blight (C.O.: Xanthomonas phaseoli)
Symptoms
- Rapid and complete chlorosis, browning, and then death of plant tissues.
- Circular, black, sunken spots with dark centre and bright red orange margins on leaves and pods.
- Seedlings get blighted due to infection soon after seed germination.
Management
- Destroy plant debris and stubbles.
Chemical Control
- Soak the seeds in Streptocycline (0.5 gram/litre of water) for 30 minute.
- Spray Copper oxychloride 50 WP (2 gram/litre of water).
