Bacterial leaf blight (C.O.: Xanthomonas phaseoli)

Symptoms

  • Rapid and complete chlorosis, browning, and then death of plant tissues.
  • Circular, black, sunken spots with dark centre and bright red orange margins on leaves and pods.
  • Seedlings get blighted due to infection soon after seed germination.

Management

  • Destroy plant debris and stubbles.

Chemical Control

  • Soak the seeds in Streptocycline (0.5 gram/litre of water) for 30 minute.
  • Spray Copper oxychloride 50 WP (2 gram/litre of water).
