- Effect of Low Temperature: Below 10°C delays maturity, leading to undersized button formation.
- Effect of High Temperature: Results in yellowish, leafy curds.
Soil
- Well drained soil with open sunlight is ideal for growth of the crop
- Well-drained sandy loam to clay loam soils rich in organic matter
- Optimum Soil pH: 5.5-6.5.
